USA & Canada ~ DHL Express Courier or Australia Post Express International  shipping services are used. Orders up to $199 USD incur flat rate $22 USD shipping charge. Orders over $200 USD will ship free of charge.

Rest of world ~ DHL Express Courier or Australia Post Express International  shipping services are used. All orders will be charged flat rate $30 USD. 

Covid-19 Update: We are working with DHL Express Couriers and Australia Post to deliver all online orders in a timely manner. Goods are despatched from our Byron Bay, Australia, headquarters with every precaution taken to protect our clean environment. 

Our freight forwarders have advised they are operating with a little disruption to their services due to cancelled domestic flights within the US on some routes and to possibly expect a 2 - 4 day delay on top of their usual 2 - 5 business day delivery timeframe. During this time, signature on delivery may not be required.

Returns ~ In the event that the product you purchased online is defective and requires any form of warranty, you need to contact the store you purchased from directly. Please note that a change in mind does not constitute an acceptable reason for return in our mind.

You have 30 days from the receipt of the online shipment to return any defective item for credit or exchange, provided the merchandise is unused, in original condition, and is returned in the original shipping container. 



All customers are responsible for any local Customs duties or taxes placed on international orders. Salt Gypsy must declare full monetary value on all international shipments and we recommend checking with your local postal or Customs authority prior to purchase for further information.



We understand how tricky it can be to purchase garments online - especially ocean activewear. We have tried to be accurate with our descriptions and measurements so please read through these carefully on each product page and feel free to contact us with any questions prior to completing your purchase. 


Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund has processed completely.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items and items purchased using a Promotional Discount cannot be refunded.

If you need to exchange an item for a different colour or size, please send us an email at: We will then issue an RA # and our returns address. 

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

We will process your refund within 7 business days of the return arriving to our warehouse, followed by a confirmation email. 

We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item. 

Salt Gypsy reserves the right to deny a refund of the returned merchandise if it does not meet the requirements of our Return Policy.
